Val d'Orcia Landscapes
The val d'Orcia golden photographic triangle is located between San Quirico, Pienza e Monticchiello. In and off the beaten early risers tripods tracks, for a wonderful photographic experience!
If Tuscany can be considered the home of art, then the Val d'Orcia is its garden.
In 2004, this wonderful landscape was added to the Unesco World Heritage List for its cultural and aesthetic values.
Some spots between Pienza and San Quirico are Italian landscape's true icon and attract fans of landscape photography from everywhere. These rolling clay hills have also been the stage for some Anglo-Saxon Oscar movies, such as "Gladiator" and "The English Patient".
And if you're fed up with shooting spots that some may feel a little worn out, don't worry! We can move further south to Contignano and Radicofani where the volcanic landscape is more dramatic, with some impressive cliffs.
