Siena Photo Walk

discovering charming hidden alleys and the harmonious proportion of piazza del Campo together with pro photographer Andrea Bonfanti

Siena Photo Walk

Siena has an atmospheric, subdued light that tends to create shades and uncertains. Florence may be boring during those rainy days, but they turn out to be feast day occasions for the photographer in Siena to capture moments of existential reflections.
The city is structured like a tangle skein with mysterious, dark alleys, hidden rows, secluded squares, narrow and wider roads. None are the same. Florence embodies accuracy and perfection; Siena, disorder. A sense of unfinished, of something left unsaid, lingers in the air and follows you from the new cathedral's immense façade on through the hundreds of alleyways: without any notice or warning you're faced with a brick wall, a dead end.
